Chèvre

Soft goat milk cheeses, better known as chèvre whaich again is an abbreviating for Les fromages de chèvre. These cheeses can be very fresh or more matured, but seldom matured for more than three to four weeks. They appear with bloomy rinds, sometimes the rind carries some blue spots, quite a few are covered with ashes while the wrinkled ones have a rind of geotrichum candidum.

Chèvre is usually connected to the Loire valley, but they are made all over France.
