Gutta på Haugen is an old fashioned everything gourmet shop. At St. Hanshaugen. Also a branch at Mathallen.
And while you are there, Java, a must try coffee shop next door. One of Oslo’s oldest – and best.

La Cave aux Fromages
In Reims in the Champagne region you’ll find a hidden gem of a cheese shop called Les Caves aux Fromages. If in the area, pay a visit!

A city I am very fond of; Colmar in Alsace. A city and area well worth a visit for its sights, wine and food and of course a decent cheese shop. Munster is a must buy here..

Most People visit Beaune for the famous wines. I am willing to pay this charming small city a visit for their cheese shop as well. A wide selection of cheese and charcuterie. Has even invented their own cheese; Le Délice de Pommard.

Formatgeria la Secu
Tucked away in the old town of Barcelona, still just 5 minutes’ stroll from the Ramblas. A tiny little cheese shop with wonderful cheese. Just 15 to 20 different though. But do you need to buy more? They are all farmstead or artisan, but still some of them you’ve heard about before. Scottish proprietor, Katherine McLaughlin, who more than willingly explains about the various cheeses. Open every day except Sundays and Mondays. Typical Spanish with a siesta somewhere in the middle. Closed all August. If you love cheese and want some authentic Spanish artisanal cheese, this is the place to go.

New York’s prime cheese shop with two outlets. Established back in 1940 and has developed from there. Lots of advice, cheese courses and one of the best selections of American artisanal and farmstead cheese. Very competent and pleasant staff. Open every day..

A must visit while in Lisbon. Not an extreme selection of cheese, but a bit of everything gourmet. We actually bought the finest of bacon there.

Round the corner from Mercado da Figueira you’ll also find a tiny bar called A Ginjinha, serving Cherry brandy, which they have done continuously since 1840. Try it!
Is no less than a hypermarket. As such usually pretty boring, but the one I found had an extremely wide and deep selection of regional Portuguese raw milk cheese. Lots of other good stuff as well, such as Norwegian wet salted and dried cod, aka Bacalhau.
